I'll Take a Gorilla Pod Please

Entering the Pop Photo Spring Flower Contest to win a gorilla pod - why not? Check it out at http://www.popphoto.com/spring/2010/03/spring-photo-contest-flowers My flower photos seem fairly average to me, typical, macro. But these flowers are beautiful none the less.

KELLY B FALL 2010

We had to laugh at the studio yesterday; I really liked some of the clothing I was photographing, and none of it will be available in stores until August. Shooting the look book for Fall 2010 can be such a tease.

This was my 3rd time working with Kelly Barry, of Kelly B Designs, and it is always such a pleasure. Kelly's clothes are not only organic, but her line is slowly being tailored into one of my favorites - lots of bright colors and comfortable, chic styles.

Look books are generally boring - plain background, full length, and detail shots. It is always fun working with Kelly because she likes to play! We jump, spin, twirl, get down on the ground - anything to make it a little more interesting.

Check it all out at kellybcouture.com and find out where you can buy around LA, but don't anticipate finding this look for at least 6 months!

ILLUMINATION FOUNDATION HOLIDAY PARTY

This year the Illumination Foundation held their annual Holiday Party at Pretend City Children's Museum in Orange County. Having never been there, I was shocked at how awesome this museum is. If you have kids, take them there. It is a 6 year old dream come true. You can play mailman, artist, banker, fire fighter, police man, farmer, chef.... The city is fully functional - you do a job and get a stamp, the stamp gets you money from the ATM, then you can buy things, such as food from the store.

The foundation hosted the event, as well as dinner, and brought in a Santa Clause, who gave the children donated gifts. The charity aims to help homeless families get back on their feet.
