Last night I watched "The Cove" and was expecting a lot worse, although it was still depressing, it was not as gruesome as anticipated.

Hoya Polarizer Filter
What do you think? I recently purchased a Hoya Polarizer filter, which is supposedly one of the best brands, running around $130 - $200. Polarizers are frequently used to cut glare on objects, water, or snow. They also bring out dramatic hues when shooting outdoors. I did a test today for an up coming product shoot and used the filter on one shot, and not on the other. Can you tell which one?

I'll Take a Gorilla Pod Please
Entering the Pop Photo Spring Flower Contest to win a gorilla pod - why not? Check it out at http://www.popphoto.com/spring/2010/03/spring-photo-contest-flowers My flower photos seem fairly average to me, typical, macro. But these flowers are beautiful none the less.

KELLY B FALL 2010
We had to laugh at the studio yesterday; I really liked some of the clothing I was photographing, and none of it will be available in stores until August. Shooting the look book for Fall 2010 can be such a tease.
This was my 3rd time working with Kelly Barry, of Kelly B Designs, and it is always such a pleasure. Kelly's clothes are not only organic, but her line is slowly being tailored into one of my favorites - lots of bright colors and comfortable, chic styles.
Look books are generally boring - plain background, full length, and detail shots. It is always fun working with Kelly because she likes to play! We jump, spin, twirl, get down on the ground - anything to make it a little more interesting.
Check it all out at kellybcouture.com and find out where you can buy around LA, but don't anticipate finding this look for at least 6 months!
